My role
Rise Limitless Brands · Client strategy & original copywriting
For a client through Rise Limitless Brands, I wrote 100% of the advertorial copy. The client selected it as the winner and used it to scale native advertising campaigns during 2020–2021.
The assignment
The job was to introduce the offer to new readers and get them to watch a presentation. I wrote the full advertorial, using a story to give readers a reason to keep going.
The published sample uses the byline Mark Patterson. Ashley’s authorship is documented here separately from that published byline.
The copy structure
- Open with an unexpected situation. The headline and opening story create a question the reader wants answered.
- Explain how the offer works. The body introduces the offer and explains the premise behind it.
- Show the client’s examples. Quoted experiences and examples appear throughout the archived copy.
- Give the reader a clear next step. Links invite the reader to continue into the presentation.
The client outcome
According to Ashley, this was the client’s winning advertorial and supported campaign scaling to five-figure native advertising spend during 2020–2021.
The five-figure result refers to advertising spend, not revenue. The supplied PDF documents the creative; the winner and scaling results are reported by Ashley. An exact spend amount, spend cadence, and comparative performance report were not supplied.
Read the work

Read the copy structure as text
The advertorial moves from a retiree’s story to an explanation of Family Bank Funding, then presents the client’s examples and invites readers to watch a free presentation. It uses a curiosity-led headline, narrative opening, quoted experience, explanatory body copy, and repeated links to the next step.
What this demonstrates
This is an example of my acquisition copywriting: introduce an offer to a new audience, hold their interest, and give them a reason to click through. The other case studies cover conversion and renewals.
